This charming 1960s villa in Melbourne’s inner east got a boho makeover by artist Katie Edwards McCubbin, her husband, writer David McCubbin, and their dog, Humphrey.
Originally designed by architect Joe Fudge, the couple celebrate the home’s original features which include Hollywood-inspired use of chandeliers and neoclassical fireplaces. “You don’t need the kitchen renovated every two years in order to keep up with the Joneses,” Katie tells Sunday Life. “Find a place with character that you can embellish and put your individual stamp on.”
As for their future plans for the property? “To fill it to bursting point, then continue to utilise its charm for simple living and entertaining.”
